About the booking online with qantas and then accidently type the name wrong and cant do anything about it next.

Okies as you know we are traveling on the 25th of june from bne to melb
I accidently type something wrong for the members name

For example (all names are examples only)

Ms maria de jones smith
Instead when i was putting everyoens name to buy a ticket with qantas online it ask me to type in FIRST NAME and SURNAME. So i typed it like this: Ms: maria smith

But her name is not JUST maria smith. Its actually Maria (de jones) smith and not just maria smith.

Know is this going to be a big problem to identified whos who ? Of course my mother comes from europe and there for some countries use longer names and not just first and second and last name. but some countries use more then 4 names all together like the obove.

I'm worried that when we head to the airport they going to figuire out whos Ms maria smith (instead the real name for the ticket should of been: Ms maria DE JONES smith.

Would this really matter or not really? All of us are surname SMITH but if for example the names where mistakenly wrong typed would it really matter ?


your help would be very usefull.. My mother now is blameing me for putting the name wrong and im know worried she cant get in the plane because of this mistake with her name as i was buying ticket online at qantas website.. I cant rechange it... too late now... But im not very sure about this and im very skeptical... I would be well suprise if anyone who travels enss up putting a nickname to fly away instead of the real first name..

I done all of this online. I didn't went to a travel agency to buy tickets at all.


EDIT: remember anyone on earth can be call Maria smith.. and there would be well and enough multible same full names like that. But of course i did what i had to do on the qantas website FIRST NAME and SURNAME

but her first name is: MARIA DE JONES

AND not only just MARIA
