I used to also think it was difficult, but it's not hard to find. They sell 3 oz colgate at most convenience stores (luckily, plain Colgate is my favorite toothpaste). Most deodorants are under 3 oz. All of my toiletries (sunscreen, lotion, hair product) are 3.4 oz. The only excessive ones are shampoo, which I buy after I arrive at destination, if needed.
