On Board of PEK-FRA

It is becoming a bit of a challenge to find subject matters to take photos on the LH 744. This was my 4th LH 744 flight this year, and there are four more to go in the next a few weeks. One thing I am trying is to change seat on each flight. For this particular flight, I took the exit row in row 9. I was warned of the close by toliet and traffic, but I figure I had to try it to get a feel (or smell) for it myself.

LH Attendents are always professional. Pre-departure drinks were served as soon as passengers are sitted, and they are always willing to help with storing overhead luggages.

Another thing I like about LH is its offering of reading materials. As you can see, there are a nice varieties of magazines in three different languages in addition to several newspaper choices including USA Today on this Asia-EU flight.

Extra leg space is the advantage of the exit row and bulkhead seats. Unlike UA's older configuration on the 777, bulkhead business class seats, which have less leg space.

Although I am right next to the galley and lavatory, the noise was at minimum and it did not bother me the whole flight, and there was no undeserving smell.

New amenity bag (at least it has been new since later April). It is definitely an improvement over the previous bag. The contents remain the same.

I was puzzled by the Avatar cover on the in-flight entertainment magazine when the movie was not included as a choice in the entertainment system.

A couple of readers of my previous trip reports asked me about the iPhone camera quality and frequency of use during my trip. You can be the judge of the quality of the photos shown in this particular post. Almost half of the photos shown in this post were taken with my iPhone, one with Nikon DSL, and the rest were taken with a half-broken 4-year old Canon pocket digital camera.

Next batch of photos to post: In-flight meals
