Planning to travel Boston to Vancouver in April. Employer will reimburse for cost of 1 non-refundable Business class ticket. I would like to find a way to trade in/cash in the business class ticket for 3 economy tickets, so I can take my family along. Is there a way to do this? I'm considering United or Air Canada. If I book a business class ticket (non refundable) and then cancel, I understand I will pay a service fee, but will be able to use the remaining balance to purchase a new ticket for myself and the remaining balance will be put toward a voucher. Can I use the voucher to purchase tickets for wife and child - or are the vouchers non-transferrable? Thank you.
