I'm currently planning a trip later in the summer which will likely have me trying to kill 8+ hours at HKG. Since I won't be flying OW carriers either into or out of HKG, I'll have no CX lounge access. I understand that in order for my AA EXP/OW Emerald status to get me into The Wing, I have to be flying a OW carrier that day.

So I was thinking about buying a full fare Y ticket on CX for a flight which departs around the same time as mine, checking in to get a boarding pass, going to The Wing, and not showing up for the CX flight. Will I get a full refund?
