The following information is from Sabre:

Code:
THE BMAS SYSTEM INTERFACES WITH THE IATA/SITA
COMPUTERIZED BAGGAGE TRACING SYSTEM -WORLDTRACER-
WITH EXPANDED TRACING CAPABILITIES ENCOMPASSING
MORE THAN 300 AIRLINES WORLDWIDE.

FULL ONHAND RECORDS ARE AUTOMATICALLY TRANSMITTED TO
WORLDTRACER AT RECORD CREATION IN SABRE.
AA has used WorldTracer since February 1996. BMAS is AA's baggage management system.

Guy Betsy, are you still sure AA doesn't participate in WorldTracer?

Oh, at any given moment, regardless of a carriers participation in WorldTracer, a baggage service agent can only tell you exactly where you bag is if A/It's been located and B/Has already been loaded into BMAS or WorldTracer. Sometimes, this can take a day or two to happen during which time, your bag might as well not exist.
