From a legalistic understanding, she was right. It is operating carrier for your next flight that counts, irrespectively of any codeshares. From a perhaps-be-nice-to-our-elite-customers-before-we-go-bankrupt perspective she was wrong. Maybe the lounge computer system cannot accept you but it should still be possible to simply let you in.
