It's a check card, so you can use run it as debit if you want. However, like 99% of all check cards with rewards, you wont get any SkyMiles if you run it as debit transaction.

I've had the card since late last year and it has been a decent deal for me. You even get double miles on Delta purchases, which is something I think they added recently.
