I continue to be amazed at the importance people place on a meal on a flight. For a 8 hour longhaul, maybe I can understand that, but for your garden variety domestic flight to me it just doesn't matter. The meals, regardless of airline, are just not that good IMHO.
Now, if they ever find a way to get In-and-Out grills in the galleys, then that's another story....
I'm not a fan of In-and-Out, but I agree that most airline meals I've had haven't been a big benefit. We did have some good food on Continental's Biz-First Class between Brazil and Houston, including an excellent Delmonico steak (not a cut I see on restaurant menus much), but even they couldn't do eggs well. On our return trip we chose cereal over omelette.
