At the moment LA arrives in AKL at 04:20 and departs for SCL at 16:40 , that is slightly over 12 hours to fit in the shorter AKL-SYD-AKL flights whereas it appears that CZ would have 1 hour less to fit in the longer MEL-AKL-MEL flights . AR , of course , are a law unto themselves but even they allow nearly 11 hours 35 minutes in which to fit in the shorter AKL-SYD-AKL ... and , as noted , they are a bit of a nightmare with reliability , if CZ were to try to fit the longer MEL-AKL-MEL flights into a smaller 'window' it would seem ( to me ,at least ) to be a recipe for trouble .
