I was wondering if anyone knows what the policy is for pre-assigning restricted or exit row seats to AC Elites. I have made several reservations on 737 aircraft in the last month or so. Sometimes, when asked, the AC agent making the reservation will give me either 10A or 10F, which are restricted exit-row seats (and also the best seats in the Y cabin). Other times, they will not. (These are the telephone reservation agents; no one has ever asked me if I am physically capable of opening an emergency exit.) I'm wondering if I am just lucky some of the time, or whether I should insist harder that I want those seats. (64" pitch ... beats most business class seats!)
