I have been taking a couple forced weekend trips to Dubai, which actually is a very good place to MR. I have stayed Wednesday nights in Dar Sondos Le Meridien for as low as $59 a.i. and then switch to the Four Points Downtown Dubai for $79 a.i. on Thursday night. Then I do a phantom stay at the Dar Sondos for Friday night as I check in on my way to the airport on Friday. Thus I net 3 stays in a weekend with 2 nights actually spent there. Dubai is a cool town to boot. I figure it is worth the $197 a.i. per weekend to accumulate 3 stays to plat requalification, earn some starpoints and my real goal earn a Free Weekend Night.
