KLIA is about 60 miles away from downtown KL, you are most likely to see palm oil plantations only on approach and departure.
if you are luck and have a night time approach from the northeat you may overfly KL, but it will be at quite an altitude, so maybe you will see the towers, maybe you wont (if there are low clouds).
I have lived in KL for 10 years and only have ever seen the twin towers twice on night time approach. dont hedge your bets on it.
Rather have a stopover and enjoy Kuala Lumpur, it really is the BEST city in Asia.
