I have noticed in regards to which rates the certificates through CostCo can be used for. The certificates can be used for AAA rates as this is just a standard member discount, not a promotion or corporate negotiated rate. The certificates, according to the terms and conditions and also validated through the Director of Gift Card and Certificate Operations are not the excluded rates for these certificates include: pre-paid rates, pre-negotiated rates, and corporate account rates. If I use a "coupon code" of "COSTCO" or "13365" am I using a
pre-negotiated or
corporate account rate ??
From my perspective, since I do not work for Costco, then these are not corporate rates. And as for pre-negotiated, I didn't negotiate anything. I feel as if these rates are simply another benefit of my Costco membership, just like the AAA rates for their members.
But if I'm reading the past few posts correctly, people are having problems using their Gift Certificates purchased at Costco when the rate already reflects a discount for being a Costco member ?
