According to what the Director of Gift Certificates says the certificates are valid on the costco.com rate as that is a membership discount. But when it is a promotional CostCo rate then the certificates do not apply.

Thanks for the quick response. But I didn't realize that there were so many catches to using these gift checks. For example, you stated that the AAA rate is okay to use with these checks.
However, I, like others, have booked the AAA Breakfast rate (which, as you can tell from the name, allows for full breakfast for the guest), which might or might not be considered a promotional rate -- meaning that one can't use the certs for them? That seems to be inconsistent with how many/most/all of the hyatts have interpreted the T&CS for these checks. At least, no one on FT have complained that a hotel up to this point have declined the use of these checks on a AAA Breakfast rate.
