What can you do with an expiring refund credit coupon?
I have a denied boarding coupon for a few hundred dollars that I haven't yet used and it will expire soon. It's my own fault because it's so much easier to buy tickets by phone or on aa.com than to kill half a day to drive to the airport (no more CTO's!) to use the coupon. Is it possible to just buy a refundable ticket to somewhere the next time I'm passing through an airport and trade that in for a ticket I need later, thereby gaining more time to find a convenient way to use the credit? Don't want to do anything that is against their rules, and nobody seems to know the rules better than the FT community! Thanks.
