Almost all the major hotels are running amazing promotions in Bangkok except SPG properties. I usually split my time between LM and SGS, but this time I am going with Peninsula.($150/night w bfast for 2 and 800thb spa giftcard)

As far as service between LM/SGS, I agree that SGS is more polished, but also a bit more jaded. If you are a Plat, I love LM's complimentary happy hour drinks/apps at Bamboo bar--very chic.
