I have been using an X300 for the last 2 years, upgraded the SSD to 128 GB (from the original 64GB) and Windows 7 Professional last Fall ... best damn laptop I've ever had. I've setup and used a co-worker's X301, it is even better (brighter screen, faster processor). So if budget permits, don't futz with the X20x, go X30x (with Windoze 7) instead!

Only thing better will be to run Windows 7 on the latest Macbook Pro. Another coworker did that a few months ago. You get to look cool along with the turtleneck crowd (even though it is a bit warm for that now) while using a real productive operating system
