Just to end all of the suspense - the mid-size we received was a Ford Escape. Fairly well equipped as well - leather, satellite radio, power seats, etc.

One thing that struck me as odd - there is a giant 'R' on the keytag and a separate sticker above the barcode on the rear window. Any idea what that's about?
