I have around 300K of Flying Blue points. The combination of high taxes and the thought of travelling long haul with my 2 young kids (2 hrs is more than enough) have put me off reward flights.

Does anyone have any bright ideas on how I could get the maximum value for my miles i.e. hotels, purchases etc?
