Best restaurant (maybe 3 miles north of Pompano) - - go north past the Carrabbas and have a real Italian Mom & Pop experience at Bon Gustos. Spend maybe $5 more per entree. Worth it.

Near Butterfly World there is the Pompano Festival Flea Market (all indoors). Also in western Pompano, there is a county park called Quiet Waters where one can water ski or enjoy a small water park:

Drive to Delray/Boca outwest and take in Morikami Gardens for a Japanese Tea House experience (also delightful Bonsai).

See! There is some life in the Pompano (ish) area after all!
