I think there needs to be a little fact-checking and fix up of some information on this thread.

Jetblue vs UA: Yes, it's true that B6's standard legroom is now equal to the lower end of E+ and their "even more legroom" product is bigger. But they are an all-economy carrier and EML seats require a per-segment purchase of $10-$30. That makes EML expensive at best for a 1K equivalent domestic flyer (on a transcon basis, that's <gulp> $1200/year for access to EML). At worst, it's a poor way to try and compete with VX's "real" F class - still no meals, internet access, upgrades, lounges, etc.

VS and US: PE on VS is a distinct cabin of service, as has been mentioned here. I don't think many would argue that it is superior to United's coach product, but inferior (certainly in terms of hard product and ancillary benefits) to United's new C (and probably even to old C). Premium economy is sometimes a good deal, depending on the pricing for a given route - I too wish UA gave EQMs for non star flights.
