What annoys me (not that I'm Irish!) is the way that people pronounce "Eire". For English-speaking people, suffice to say that it ought to rhyme with "Sarah". That is the closest native English pronunciation to how an Irish speaker says "Éire". Yet I've heard it pronounced in the most extraordinary ways...
