Iīm not sure this would be an advantage.
As long as we have the paper certs:
1. AC canīt mistakenly pull a cert
2. SEs can call in at the 7 day window to upgrade an E on the same flight without actually having to use his own cert
3. there always is this tiny chance that the GA tells us to keep the cert
