No. Full fare all the way! I need the miles (sometimes). But next transatlantic won't be on AA anymore.

FYI - asian carriers usually make more money than american ones. Look at last year... SQ still managed to make over $500 million in profit. This year alone, CX also made money..

Asian/European airlines know that passengers' comfort come first. People will notice the little things and to pamper your bread & butter to make sure he/she flies with you again is important to entice the customer returns.

If I'm footing out money, and if the cost is the same in Business/First class, honestly, which would you prefer to patronize. BA with all its trimmings, or AA with slim pickings? Okay lets pretend that you don't get miles!
