Good post. Homophobia is like any other form of bigotry, it has always existed and unfortunately will always exist in all cultures. Like you said though it state sanctioned in Iran and you can be put to death for it. Some news sources report that over 4,000 gays have been executed since 1979, so it isn't an isolated incident.

Back in 05 two teens were severely lashed before they were executed.

I am sure back when Hitler was in power Jewish flight attendants wouldn't be wanting to fly to Germany.

The posts here about flight attendants wanting to "get off flying" there because it is an undesirable place for a layover are absurd as well. Detroit is a KLM city and seeing I live only 45 minutes away and fly out there a couple times a month, I can't imagine too many less desiarble places outside of DTW for a crew member to be stuckin overnight.
