On narrow-body planes, FA's have told be it's impractical to make those in Y always use the back lav, as the drink cart often blocks the way. But alot of them enforce a rule that the Y pax must wait in the Y section for the lav to clear. Not only does this prevent them from milling around in F and near the cockpit, it also means F pax always have priority.
