Yes it is not perfect, but it is a better product, and it is still less expensive. Also if I am basically paying for a Discounted Business Class seat - LH has a very nice product.
I will add that they do a fair amount of courtesy upgrades.

I've heard the same from colleagues who fly LH.
I agree that LH is a solid alternative from DTW to EU destinations; planes are new, good IFE, good food, I like the new Recaro biz seats... only problem is that FRA is a dump compared to AMS.
One question, why did you decide to accrue on M&M vs. Mileage+?
