I did my checks on random dates. Not to disprove you, just to see what was going on. It would be of more interest if you could provide the dates you are looking at.

Can't answer that specifically, but that seems to be the consensus/guidance on FT. I agree with it for reasons I really can't seem to quantify.

This thread is a bit unique in that it is not the traditional M fares are way too high discussion, it is a case of an M fare being higher than discounted J. So I think it's worth discussing on its own. ^

Again, I'd like to know specific dates and check around on different airlines.

And I still think it's just plain weird that Continental made me enter a text recognition string just to see their fare rules. (Or maybe :-: BEST IN CLASS :-:, as they say.)
