Furthermore, note that two different people above have had totally different experiences with AS. One was told that it could NOT be done; the other was told that it could be done and which paperwork to mail in. To me, that's one of those wonderful customer service paradoxes.
Agree, also note that my experience was from five years ago, perhaps their policy has changed since then. Also note that the MP terms and conditions still explicity state that miles from multiple accounts (including family members) cannot be combined except as provided by Points.com or the B of A Visa card program.
In any event, not being able to combine mileage into one account was not a huge issue for me as I simply used her miles instead of mine until the account had negligible value...
