As with any customer service transaction, you never know if you are going to get the correct information. All the OP asked was for others to share their experience with AS on this unfortunate topic. I believe that it is totally appropriate to ask these types of questions on this board.
Furthermore, note that two different people above have had totally different experiences with AS. One was told that it could NOT be done; the other was told that it could be done and which paperwork to mail in. To me, that's one of those wonderful customer service paradoxes.
