No Attendant to Check Bags at MEM???
On 5/23, I arrived at ~6:00 PM at MEM for my 7:00 PM flight. I had a bag that I wanted to check that I had pre-checked on Continental's website. When I went up to the baggage-check area, there was nobody from CO behind the counter. Someone working for United told me that the continental people had left a little while before, and I "might be able to catch them downstairs at their baggage claim office". I ran downstairs to the baggage claim office, and, lo and behold, there was nobody from continental in the office. I ended up having to call my ride to the airport to get them to pick up my bag and hold it for me until my next flight down there. Had I taken a cab or some other form of public transportation to the airport, I don't know what I would've done...
...just felt like ranting a little bit. Anyone else ever had this situation happen to them? Should I complain? Think it'd be worth my while at all?
