But still only $1 cash back if you don't have a lot of travel spend. Fine if your travel spend is significant. Mine is near zero. And cash is more flexible, IMHO

Both of my card are through Fidelity. With your level of spend, I would think it's not hard to put $2500 in a money market fund to get a 2% card - seems like it would pay for itself.

btw, I'm also hoping back to Discover for the first $2K spend over the next 5 months - 5% cash back, on top of the standard 1% cash back, plus and extra 4% on the quarterly special deals, is too good to pass up.
