Yes, you are (IMHO). AA did its best to accomodate you and bring you to your destination with minimum delay. Ture, a mechanical is not a force majore; but you arrived safely and (almost) in time.

You didn't have the cushy seat you expected - tough. But you still flew F. And you got 8K miles to boot. You have no reason to complain, I think.
