First off, should you move here, I wish to welcome you. PDX is IMHO the single best city in the US to live in. As far as FF programs go, I'd wait a few weeks and see if the reciprocal AS/DL upgrades apply to MVP and DL silvers. If so, consider going for AS. AS lets you take miles you've earned from AA,DL or AS itself. Same with redemption. I'm a DL GM who will soft land to Silver next year and will probably status match to AS for this very reason.
