Does it meaningfully assist Hyatt in evaluating the service provided by franchisees or its company owned hotels? Does it get a night clerk - whose job is pretty thankless - unfairly dinged? Or is it better that that position be held by someone who will not be awol for 25 miuntes (or perhaps more - don't know when he/she went awol).
I don't know the exact answer - but I would hope that the night clerk would not get "dinged" - but perhaps the property needs to reevaluate the need of more than 1 one desk clerk since any person can be AWOL for 25 minutes (or more) in some circumstances like if they get suddenly sick for example. Or if they already have more than 1 person on duty - they need to schedule "breaks" differently.
So, I'm not suggesting a formal complaint but Hyatt does monitor Flyertalk fairly closely so I'm sure they'll pick up on the situation and would help if the property is named.
