I agree - seems like a total WOFTAM to me.

We all know that airlines have various fare "buckets", why not just zero out the lower buckets (more so than normally occurs) and force travellers into the higher fare buckets, thereby making it both financially (higher fare bases) and commercially (less people on lower fares) viable? That is what we do here in Australia.....
