Because of the extra Aeroplan charge (what used to be the "fuel surcharge" that was never dropped) I could see how it's possible that an all-in Westjet ticket is cheaper than the fees on an Aeroplan award. I'll be interested to see the OP's response. They really should start advertising Aeroplan rewards as co-pay awards!
