The Anek ferries from Crete should dock on area E2 on this map. I would look for the bus unless you feel up to a fairly long walk and have light luggage. I still recall jogging in flip-flops from E9 to E2 (was given wrong directions) with luggage in the 90's and watching the boat sail away

Avoid Piraeus taxis at all costs, those loitering there are the worst in Athens, along with the ones in Syntagma.
