OLCI on a codeshare, opped by BA

Hi there oh esteemed members of the BA Forum.

My brother is doing the following starting this Thursday (03JUN) - SYD-QF-X/BKK-AY-X/HEL-AY-TXL-AY-X/HEL-AY-HKG-QF-SYD - the SYD-SIN being on QF 301, which is actually the BA 10, but sold under the QF code. I have checked, the BA 10 is operating.

We know he can check in at SYD for the QF(BA) flight as well as the AY flights, but can he OLCI for the (actual) BA10, or is this not possible because it was sold under the QF code?

He doesn't have seats assigned on the first sector, as he is QF Bronze (so not even a Ruby - yes, he is one of those poor unfortunates out there).
