If you mean more points per dollar I think this is very unlikely. American Express has carefully structured their products to not resemble a pyramid in which moving up a level in annual fee incorporates all the rewards and benefits of the lower levels. If you want maximum rewards stay with Premier Rewards Gold (or one of the airline or hotel affinity cards), if you prefer maximum benefits opt for Platinum or Centurion. If you value both, you'll have to pay for both.
