Ryanair is very strictly one piece of hand luggage - this includes airport purchases and the likes. So I would be surprised if you got away with it as a second item, though you might as an only item. That said, they are usually very strict on size (55x40x20) and so it may well get rejected on that basis. And checking a bag in on the day is *expensive*.
I'd post it instead, if feasible.
