If you don't mind a small daypack, you can buy an Osprey Daylite daypack. It attaches to the front of the Porter via 4 D-rings.

I found the Porter 65 to fit the bill for a good price point.

After I posted this message I really went back and looked at the Porter series...and quite frankly I think it is the best of the lot. Reason being, it's really a simple bag, and the the main pocket it huge!!. Also the top pocket I can stick my jacket in.

One thing I can't figure out is whether or the zippers lock. Would you mind telling me

I wasn't too sure about the Daylite pack, but thankfully I can see it locally and make my decision then.
