After my outbound experience in the 777, I decided to swap my IAD-ORD-PEK F ticket for IAD-SFO-PEK. GS agent told me that I need to pay additional $1,700+ for the change, but there could be a small refund if I was willing to fly C on IAD-SFO-PEK.

I jumped on the switch for the following reasons:

1. 747 C seat is better than 777 F seat (personal subjective preference)
2. Upper deck gives you a private jet feeling.
3. F and C menu are almost identical except for the small cup of soup, bigger salad, and different appertizer. Same wine and same beverage,
4. 747 IFE beats 777 IFE by a mile.
5. More BIS, RDM, GS qualifying miles
