When AA introduced EXP in 1998 it was the best idea ever. 100K via points only. No segments, not miles, nothing.Their SWU program called VIP at the time was booked directly into "C".

I was EXP in 1998 until 2003 when I went to NW. When DL announced DM I surely thought they were going to come up with a program similar to a points only system. Instead they came out with a program that had many people., including me. stopping just short with the new rollover program.

Jeff is the only person in charge of a loyalty program that found a way for a FF to become less loyal; can't wait to read Harvard business review on this new loyalty concept.

Instead of a just true spend they should have done pints and I thing they should change it now.

1 point for Y/B
1.5 points for F/J/C
.5 point for everything else.

Under this program a 200K FF gets top tier with low fare flights. Keep minimum of 500 and people with fly lots of segments will get a few extra points due to 500 versus half of 250 (or whatever a short leg did). For this DL gives real SWU instead of the nonsense they give out now.
