Frankly, I don't see this as a loss at all.

After AA began codesharing with JAL to Korea, Asiana just never figured again into AA's plans. As for LOT, no great loss either. AA sure didn't waste anytime arranging with Swiss to get us to Poland. And, it goes without saying, there is no contest between Swiss' service level and LOT's.

Poor LOT, however, you've just got to think that AA has already or will soon show them the door at JFK. No mega-terminal at JFK in your future. Perhaps they can go slum with United.
