Star has a well-known but unspoken rule that it doesnt want its carriers associating with non-Star airlines if avoidable. There are some exceptions, but not many.... that's one of the reasons SQ and TG butt heads. I wont be surprised at all
when (not "if") OZ leaves AAdvantage
