- raw tomato (though I attribute that to really awful supermarket tomatoes when I was growing up, and being able to get tasty tomatoes, often grown minutes from where I buy them)
- mushrooms (I know that this is because my mother, who is an otherwise fine cook, insisted on putting canned mushrooms spaghetti sauce. )
Also I'd pick cilantro and green onions out of my food when I was little. Now they are staples in my kitchen.
