I kind of doubt if the name will be changed automatically to the name of the person who owns the PC number. Once in a while I could see online (after log in) at ihg.com some reservations that doesn't belong to me and not under my name neither(I didn't make those reservations), and I suspect those who made the reservation or hotel front desk mistakenly input my PC number as theirs.
