I've done Paris with my son when he was a very loud, excited 3-year old at the time. We tried some of the cheaper Accor hotels (Ibis) and it was ok. My budget was less than 150 euros per night so choices weren't great. I mostly ate out so not having a kitchenette wasn't so bad.

The Citadines Aparthotel would've been a better choice, I didn't plan enough beforehand though.
